| Bowen
Therapy: Bowen is a non-invasive
holistic therapy consisting of a series
of gentle moves over muscles and soft tissue,
interspersed with periods of rest. The therapist
uses thumbs and fingers on precise points
with rolling type movements which stimulate
energy into the muscles and soft tissue.
Food Sensitivity
testing: Using Kinesiology
techniques, a wide range of foodstuffs and
other environmental factors can be tested
to identify the items that are causing irritation
to our body. This vital testing can help
wellbeing by eliminating from the diet those
items that are short of an allergy but which
are causing ongoing reactions.
Indian Head
Massage: This therapy is
performed seated and includes massage of
the scalp, face, neck, shoulders and upper
arms. It can relieve pain, stress, insomnia
and promote hair growth. Energy balancing
completes this treatment and induces a sense
of tranquillity.
Nutrition
Advice: Our fully trained
and qualified Nutritionist can arrange personal
consultations to understand your individual
diet and make recommendations on how this
can be improved. She has already helped
dozens of people since starting the practice
at Vitality in 2005 and has recently been
the “food brain” behind a recent
book for healthy eating at University.
Shiatsu:
A therapy that rebalances energy flows throughout
the body, both for the maintenance of well
being and to address imbalances. The therapist
uses the power of touch and pressure to
mobilise the body’s own self-healing
powers.
Sports Massage:
The therapist uses specialist knowledge
to adapt massage techniques to deal with
both minor and more serious sports injuries.
The exact treatment is geared to the individual.
Thai massage:
This wonderful relaxing massage is an ancient
form of massage is carried out on a fully
clothed patient. The therapist uses feet,
elbows and knees in a combination of pressure
point work and stretches allowing “Sen”
or meridian lines to increase energy flow
and remove blockages.
